Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will return to the field against the Buffalo Bills during Wild Card weekend and he's not just going to be used as a decoy. Coach Bill O'Brien made very clear that Watt would have a significant role in Saturday's game.

“He’s playing,” O’Brien said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “He’ll be in there quite a bit.”

O'Brien's comments are a bit different than what defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel indicated earlier in the week. He said the team would try to ease him back in and might only use him on passing downs.

There is a chance that both of these guys could be using a bit of gamesmanship trying to throw off their opponent with how much Watt is going to play, but one thing is clear, he is going to be on the field.

Watt said he has been encouraged by the week of practice and that it felt good to be back with his teammates in pads.

“It felt like football,” he said. “It felt like how it’s supposed to feel. It felt great to be out there, to be hitting pads, to be working on all the things I want to work on – bull rush, tackle, pass rush moves, everything I wanted to do. So, it just feels good, feels like I’m home.”

It's not going to be a cakewalk for the Texans against the Bills and the game could come down to how much of an impact Watt has that decides who wins the game.
