Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is one of the most likeable players in the NFL. He's talented, he's a great kid and he has a very bright future in the league.

Just ask Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden, who is set to face Watson this Sunday:

“I get accused of liking everybody, you know that, but if you don't like Deshaun Watson, you don't like anybody,” said Gruden, according to Aaron Reiss of The Athletic. “You're a miserable human being if you don't like this kid.”

Watson is not only easy to like, but he is having an MVP-caliber season.

Through seven games, he has thrown for 1,952 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 69.4 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 104.1. In addition, he has rushed for 196 yards and five scores.

The last couple of weeks, however, Watson has not played his best, as he has thrown just two touchdowns as opposed to four picks while registering passer ratings of 77.5 and 81.5, respectively, but he'll have a chance to get back on track against an ailing Raiders defense this weekend.

Watson, who played his collegiate football at Clemson, was originally selected by Houston with the 12th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He had gotten off to a historic start during his rookie year, throwing 19 touchdowns over his first six starts, but a torn ACL prematurely ended his season.

The 24-year-old returned last season and threw for 4,165 yards, 26 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing 68.3 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 103.1, making the Pro Bowl.
