Houston Texans second-year wide receiver Keke Coutee left his team's preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night due to an injury that was originally thought to be a knee issue.

However, Coutee's injury was only a minor ankle injury, according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle.

While there is no such thing as a good injury, Texans fans can certainly breathe a sigh of relief here, as Coutee's injury looked rather serious initially, as he was carted off the field.

Coutee, who played his collegiate football at Texas Tech, was originally selected by Houston in the fourth round (103rd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

His rookie campaign was marred by injuries, as he played in just six games and caught 28 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown.

But, in spite of Coutee scarcely playing during his first year in the league, the Texans seem to have high hopes for him heading into 2019 and are expecting him to be one of their top three receivers along with DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller.

Of course, Fuller himself has a checkered injury history, so the fact that Houston is relying on two wide outs who have not been able to stay on the field is worrisome, but the Texans are hoping they can all stay healthy this year.

Houston is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which it won 11 games and captured the AFC South division title before ultimately losing to the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.
