Houston Texans wide receiver Keke Coutee played in just six games during his rookie campaign this past season largely due to a hamstring injury that cost him the first few weeks of the year.

In the time that he did play, Coutee hauled in 28 receptions for 287 yards and a touchdown.

Those aren't exactly impressive numbers, but according to Pro Football Focus, Coutee was the most sure-handed rookie wide out in the league in 2018.

Coutee, who played his collegiate football at Texas Tech, was originally selected by the Texans in the fourth round (103rd pick overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

He spent three seasons at Texas Tech, breaking out during his junior year campaign after catching 93 passes for 1,429 yards and 10 scores. He also scored a kick return touchdown.

The 22-year-old played only scarcely during his freshman season, snaring 11 balls for 105 yards. However, during his sophomore campaign, Coutee began to display his talent, finishing with 55 catches for 890 yards while reaching the end zone seven times. In addition, he tallied a rushing touchdown.

Houston is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which they won 11 games and captured the AFC South division title, marking their third division crown over the last four years.

But, the Texans went on to fall to the Indianapolis Colts in an anemic seven-point performance during the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

Since becoming an NFL franchise in 2002, Houston is yet to make it past the Divisional Round of the postseason. The Texans have, however, made the playoffs five times since 2011.
