Early in free agency, everyone was shocked to see the Houston Texans trade DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Following the surprising move, Kenny Stills responded to a question about players not liking Bill O'Brien.

While he didn't confirm or deny that players are upset with O'Brien, he understands that the Texans can't allow the trade to separate the locker room. Nevertheless, fans aren't going to let O'Brien forget about the questionable trade he made.

Even though he was already working as the general manager, along with being the head coach, O'Brien received the official title of GM after the 2019 season. Therefore, all moves made on the roster are essentially being made by O'Brien. Provided that, the brunt of the blame of Hopkins being traded is being directed toward O'Brien.

The fact that the Texans traded Hopkins is an awful idea in of itself. However, Houston didn't get much in return for the All-Pro wide receiver, failing to land a first-round pick. On the other hand, O'Brien thought it was best to exchange him for David Johnson, a running back that's battled injuries in recent seasons.

Without a doubt, players on the roster have the right to be upset at O'Brien for his reckless trade. But nothing the players say or do is going to undo the trade that was agreed upon.

As for Stills, he is expected to have an expanded role in the passing attack in 2020. In addition, the leadership of Stills may be one of the only things that could prevent Houston's locker room from imploding this upcoming season.
