It has been deemed a foregone conclusion that there will be league-wide player protests in the 2020 NFL season. Meanwhile, those who have been at the forefront from the beginning such as Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills are also finding other ways to express themselves.

Kenny Stills recently debuted his new tattoo featuring pieces dedicated to both the Black Lives Matter and civil rights movement stretching down his right leg, via Instagram:

Kenny Stills has never been shy about voicing his support for free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick after he became the first player to protest during the national anthem back in 2016. The veteran made sure to keep the movement going by taking a knee long after Kaepernick was blacklisted from the league.

Stills' efforts in activism have only been amplified following the death of George Floyd while in custody of Minneapolis police. He was in attendance at Floyd's funeral and even took part in a peaceful march for Breonna Taylor at the state capitol in Kentucky. He has also been vocal about sports serving as a distraction from the action being taken to fight systemic racism and usher in police reform.

Head coach Bill O'Brien credits Stills with the leadership role he has taken in the Texans' locker room since his arrival last offseason in the trade for tackle Laremy Tunsil. It is safe to say that he will continue to take full advantage of his platform to raise awareness on the real issues at hand throughout the course of the 2020 campaign.
