The Houston Texans grabbed their eighth straight win after toppling the Tennessee Titans 34-17 on Monday night, which made them the first team in league history to accomplish that feat after starting the year with a 0-3 record.

A major contributor to the Texans' strong performance was running Lamar Miller recording a season-high 162 rushing yards on 11 carries and a touchdown, which included a career-best 97-yard touchdown run. Following the game, Miller voiced that his simple approach during the entire game was not to get caught

The play in question that Miller is referencing was a 57-yard run against his former team earlier this season where he had burst down the sideline that saw him nearly take it all the way to the end zone but was forced out of bounds at the 10-yard line. Miller didn't that happen this time around as he was able to sidestep opposing defenders and speed past them even as he ran out 0f gas near the end of the run.

This play helped make him the first player in league history to have two touchdown runs for more than 95 yards in his career. Miller has been a stable part of the offense for the Texans this season as he has notched 773 rushing yards and three touchdowns along with 17 receptions for 132 receiving yards and a touchdown. Miller is on pace for 1,124 rushing yards and four touchdowns, which would mark his third career 1,000 rushing yard campaign.

Nonetheless, Miller's performance in the contest was a huge part in helping his team inch a step closer to securing a playoff spot.
