This offseason has been a tough one for NFL teams, as the coronavirus pandemic has forced clubs to have virtual programs rather than actually physically being at their facilities, but that hasn't changed Deshaun Watson's approach one bit.

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Tim Kelly has been very impressed with how Watson has handled the offseason thus far.

“With the communication that we’ve had these however many days throughout this virtual offseason, he’s come in with a great mindset, coming in, trying to get better at some areas and really take grasp of the offense,” Kelly said, via Mark Lane of Texans Wire. “He’s doing a great job as far as that’s concerned.”

Obviously, Watson was hit with a huge loss a couple of months ago, as the Texans traded star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for declining running back David Johnson.

Houston then added fellow wideouts Randall Cobb and Brandin Cooks, the former of which came in free agency and the latter of which arrived via trade, but clearly, neither of those two guys are Hopkins.

Still, Kelly seems confident enough in Watson's ability where he thinks the club's offense will be in good hands regardless of Hopkins' departure.

Watson is coming off of a 2019-20 campaign in which he threw for 3,852 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions while completing 67.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 98 en route to his second straight Pro Bowl appearance.

The Texans won 10 games and captured the AFC South division title before ultimately falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this past year.
