The Houston Texans have been one of the most widely criticized teams in the NFL this offseason for their decision to trade star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for pennies on the dollar. However, they did sign veteran wide receiver Randall Cobb to fill the void.

Considering the Texans were one of the top three teams in the AFC last season, Cobb thinks that he can actually win a championship with the Texans.

“I still don't have a ring. I want to be in a situation where I have that possibility,” said Cobb, according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle. “When you look at Deshaun (Watson), he has tremendous ability and he's a winner. He has the ability to take us to a Super Bowl. I want to be a part of that.”

Although they did add Cobb, the Texans also have not been very active in improving the roster in general. Of course, Houston would have had a much better shot if they kept Hopkins. But hey, you play the cards you're dealt.

Cobb spent the 2019 campaign with the Dallas Cowboys, playing in 15 games and catching 55 passes for 828 yards and three touchdowns.

The 29-year-old was originally selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round (64th pick overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played his collegiate football at the University of Kentucky.

He spent the first eight years of his career with the Packers. His best season coming in 2014 when he hauled in 91 receptions for 1,287 yards and 12 scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Cobb has hardly been the same since. But he will likely be one of Watson's top targets heading into 2020. Whether or not the Texans actually contend for a Super Bowl is another story entirely.
