The Houston Texans saga continues. As the sexual assault allegations have piled up to 20 civil suits, the Texans front office is still receiving trade offers for Deshaun Watson. However, it seems Houston is still hesitant to negotiate a trade for the time being, per Tom Pelissero.

Pelissero doesn't let it slip on which franchises are contacting the Houston Texans, but based on previous reports surrounding trade partners for Watson, one could take an educated guess.

With plenty of time between now and the NFL regular season, anything can happen in regards to Deshaun Watson. He could be traded, he could stay in Houston, or he could miss time depending on the outcome of the sexual assault allegations. Only time will tell.

Even with the concerns surrounding Watson, he's still a superstar-level quarterback in the league. Last year was his best season yet, as he recorded 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns through the air. He's a legitimate dual-threat quarterback as well, as he finished with 444 rushing yards and an additional three touchdowns.

With stats like that, it's no wonder why other teams are still reaching out for Watson's potential availability. The Texans front office has made sure to find some insurance in the quarterback department this offseason. They signed Tyrod Taylor and traded for Ryan Finley.

Pelissero also mentions Alex Smith as a possible candidate for Houston, as Smith has a history with Texans head coach David Culley. If that were to come to fruition, it would only increase the chances of Watson not playing for the Texans in 2021. This is an ongoing story that is bound to have some more twists and turns.
