The Houston Texans lost their starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor in Week 2, but despite that there seemed to be no chance at all the team even considered going with disgruntled and disgraced star Deshaun Watson in his place.

After a lopsided Week 3 loss with David Mills at the helm, that stance has not changed, according to NFL insider Jay Glazer.

“Nope. Not at all. Deshaun Watson has made it clear he does not want to play for the Houston Texans.”

But what has reportedly changed was the Texans' asking price. Houston is rumored to have softened quite a bit after seeking for eye-popping trade packages for their former franchise star.

“They've already been offered three ones and three threes, but wanted more than that. However, I was told this past week, their stance started to soften a little bit with that.”

The Miami Dolphins have been one of the teams most heavily linked to a possible deal. The team put their faith in sophomore QB Tua Tagovailoa to start the season, but he's once again been bitten by the injury bug.

However, the Texans have every incentive to take their time before trading Watson. After all, the team he gets dealt to gets instantly better, therefore hurting the draft stock of the team whose picks they just acquired. But given that their stance has started to “soften” after four weeks, the asking price will probably continue to dip until a deal gets consummated.
