The Houston Texans are coming off of a very disappointing 2020 season, going from 11-5 division champions to 4-12 bottom feeders.

There was plenty of controversy in Houston this offseason that led them to that point. Trading DeAndre Hopkins away clearly hurt them on offense, but the team's defense was the real problem.

The Texans ranked 27th in scoring defense and wasted away a historic season from their franchise quarterback, Deshaun Watson.

Watson led the league in passing yards with 4,823, ranked first in passing yards per attempt, second in completion percentage at 70.2, second in passer rating at 112.4, while also racking up 33 passing touchdowns and only seven interceptions. Watson also accounted for 88 percent of Houston's total offense this season which is the most ever by any player in NFL history.

It's sad to see such great numbers from a generational talent get wasted on a losing franchise.

Although Watson never asked to be traded, one can speculate that he would want out of Houston. They have done nothing at all to help the quarterback, and year after year fail to surround him with winning talent.

If Watson were to be traded, the Texans could expect a pretty sizable return according to Benjamin Allbright of KOA Colorado via Twitter.

No NFL fan other than the Texans fan base would be upset if Deshaun Watson got shipped out of Houston. The Texans are the epitome of poor roster management and have failed to have first-round picks in back-to-back years with nothing to show for it.

The Texans were the third-worst team in the NFL this year and don't have a pick until the third round.

That is unless Deshaun Watson gets moved. Then they will surely have their fair share of draft capital.
