Michael Irvin was on ESPN's Get Up and revealed some shocking details about the relationship between Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien and Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, including a bombshell claim that O'Brien compared Hopkins to Aaron Hernandez.

According to Irvin, O'Brien brought Hopkins in and told him that he didn't like that he had multiple baby mamas.

O'Brien also compared Hopkins to Hernandez which really caught the star wide receiver off guard because he has never been in any sort of legal trouble.

Bleacher Report transcribed the full quote from Irvin on the Texans coach:

“I said, ‘Tell me what happened in Houston,' and he went into it. He told me, he said, ‘Michael, it was a bit of a power struggle there' because Bill O'Brien thought, Coach O'Brien thought [Hopkins] had too much influence over the locker room. He called DeAndre Hopkins in a meeting to talk about this and, I kinda guess, hash it out. In that meeting, he started the meeting with telling DeAndre Hopkins this, that blew my mind when DeAndre told me this. He told DeAndre Hopkins, he said: ‘Hey, the last time I had to have a meeting like this, it was with Aaron Hernandez.' I was like: ‘What? He put in Aaron Hernandez in this meeting?' He said, ‘Yes he did.' He said: ‘Michael, that blew my mind that he would even bring that up. I've never been in any trouble. I don't know why would he equate me with Aaron Hernandez.'

The Texans completed a blockbuster trade that sent Hopkins to the Cardinals in exchange for running back David Johnson.

And if the quotes from O'Brien are true, it's pretty shocking and it's hard to imagine he is going to have much pull in the Texans' locker room anymore. Comparing a player that has never been in trouble with Aaron Hernandez is pretty shocking.

Will the Texans do something to O'Brien to punish him for these comments?
