The Houston Texans knew full well they would need to get off to a hot start squaring off against the Kansas City Chiefs on the road in the AFC Divisional Round. fortunately, it appears they are clicking on all cylinders early on.

The Texans managed to take a 14-0 lead thanks to a blocked punt by outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo that cornerback Lohnnie Johnson Jr. managed to return for a touchdown, via NFL Twitter:

It is safe to say that this has been an ideal start by the Texans. They managed to strike first with a 54-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Deshaun Watson to wide receiver Kenny Stills. Now that the offense and special teams have already made some big plays, the onus will fall on the defense to keep the momentum in their favor.

Although the Texans may have been considered underdogs coming into this star-studded showdown, they have now wasted no time in turning the tables on the Chiefs thus far.

The winner will meet the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game after Mike Vrabel's team stunned the No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens in Saturday's matchup between the two teams.
