After a lot of uncertainty of the possibility of it even happening, the first touchdown of the 2020 NFL season is in the books. After going two-thirds of the first quarter without either team getting much going (which isn't very surprising considering the lack of a preseason), the Houston Texans get on the board with a David Johnson run.

From the shotgun set, Deshaun Watson hands it off to Johnson from the Chiefs 24-yard line, with Johnson hesitating before breaking through the line. After breaking through the first level, he would bounce it out to the edge with defenders chasing him, but his speed would be too much for the linebackers and corners chasing him.

This is a great start for Johnson in his first season with the Texans after spending his first five seasons of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. The 2019 campaign was a disappointing one for Johnson, scoring only two touchdowns on 94 carries and 345 yards. Those were the lowest numbers of his career besides the 2017 season in which Johnson only played in one game due to a wrist injury. Johnson was traded to the Texans in March along with a 2021 second and fourth-round draft pick for DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick.

The 2020 season has kicked off with the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs facing the Texans. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there is a limited of fans in attendance.
