Coming as a surprise despite a potent Houston Texans offensive attack, the New Orleans Saints did not score first on Monday evening on the Bayou. Instead, Texans starting quarterback Deshaun Watson scampered 21 yards to reach the end zone first, giving his team an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

Not only that, but Watson truly put his body on the line to reach the goal line. The former Clemson Tigers standout went up high to make his way into the end zone on the road in New Orleans.

Leading to Watson's eventual touchdown, Saints quarterback Drew Brees was previously picked off by Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus as New Orleans approached the red zone. With Texans wide receiver Will Fuller V hauling in a massive 50-yard reception on the ensuing drive, Watson did the rest with his legs — on a pivotal fourth down no less.

On the other hand, this season took an interesting turn for Watson and the Texans just before the team's Week 1 matchup against the surging Saints. Taking away from the defense in order to add to the offense, the Texans notably acquired former Miami Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil shortly after shipping current Seattle Seahawks pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney several thousand miles north to the NFC West. It is also worth noting that the Texans added former Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills in the same deal that netted the AFC South franchise the aforementioned Tunsil.

It is certainly paying off early on for Texans head coach Bill O'Brien, though it is impossible to sleep on the Saints — especially at home in New Orleans.
