The Houston Texans manufactured a baffling trade that sent DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals earlier this week. Just a couple of days after the trade was finalized, Houston released a social media tribute to Hopkins.

Hopkins began his career with the Texans as a first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. Since his rookie season, Hopkins was a bright spot on a team that couldn't find a long-term quarterback.

However, when Deshaun Watson arrived in 2017, Hopkins finally had a franchise quarterback throwing him the ball. In just three seasons together, Hopkins was named an All-Pro three consecutive years. But with Bill O'Brien and Hopkins not seeing eye-to-eye, the connection between Hopkins and Watson ceases to exist.

By looking at the comments under the tribute to Hopkins, you can get a decent sense of how most Texans fans feel. Without a doubt, it's going to be tough for Houston to replace the All-Pro wide receiver moving forward.
