Texas Longhorns sent assistant to see 2020 4-star Kerwin Walton

Kerwin Walton, a four-star prospect out of the 2020 college basketball recruiting class, was checked on by a Texas Longhorns assistant coach. This all went down on Monday.

This report was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten.

Recently, the North Carolina Tar Heels hurled a scholarship offer toward the recruit.

While Weingarten’s tweet calls him a top 50 prospect, there seems to be some disparity between that and how most grassroots gurus rate him.

Speaking of Kerwin Walton and how people view him, not only do most reputable recruiting service outlets have the young man pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 95 (or so) best players in his entire recruiting class.

No matter how many stars are attached to his name, it’s clear the Texas Longhorns would like to lure the talented youngster to campus.

As it forever is, time will tell where the kid commits. Walton still has a decent amount of time before he has to make a decision.
