The Buffalo Bills had a disappointing campaign in 2018. They went 6-10 on the year and finished third in the AFC East division behind the Miami Dolphins and the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

They had one of the worst offenses in the entire league. They only scored 16.8 points per game, which ranked 30th in the entire league. Josh Allen started in 11 games and threw for 2,074 yards with 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His completion percentage sat at a lowly 52.8 percent and his quarterback rating was also 52.3.

Four quarterbacks started for the team, including Allen, Nathan Peterman, Derek Anderson, and Matt Barkley. It was a mess. Their offense didn't have much talent on it in the slightest.

Only two wide receivers had more than 500 yards and only once receiver eclipsed over 50 total receptions. Zay Jones caught 56 passes for 652 yards and Robert Foster caught 27 passes for 541 yards. Outside of the limited production from running back LeSean McCoy, the team had very limited options on offense.

The Bills need to take a chance on a receiver who can give whoever their quarterback a chance to succeed. They need a solid veteran who can come in and provide immediate production.

Tate has been a consistent weapon in the slot since his breakout year with the Detroit Lions in 2014. Since then he’s had three seasons with over 1,000 receiving yards and four seasons with over 90 receptions.

Last season for the Lions and Eagles, he caught 74 receptions along with 795 yards and four total touchdowns. The 5-foot-10, 200 pound receiver is one of the best slot weapons in the NFL. Even though he no longer is used as a kick and punt returner on special teams, he still is very effective. He's an excellent route runner and uses his small size to his advantage.

The Bills have a lot of work to do to turn their team around offensively. Bringing on Tate would be a great first step for the organization.
