It seems that The Day Before release date has been delayed due to the game being migrated to Unreal Engine 5.

Originally set for a June 21, 2022, release, The Day Before has been delayed to March 1, 2023, as announced by developer FNTASTIC and publisher MYTONA through IGN. “Millions of people have added The Day Before to their wishlist, making The Day Before one of the most anticipated games in the world.

Feeling and understanding the great responsibility that we face, with enormous gratitude in our hearts, we're pleased to announce that The Day Before is switching to the new Unreal Engine 5 technology! The transition to a more advanced and adapated open worlds engine, will make the gameplay of The Day Before even more fantastic.

In this regard, we inform you that the new release date of the game will be March 1st, 2023.”

Indeed, The Day Before is one of the most highly-anticipated games of the near future, being one of Steam's most wishlisted games right now. The Day Before is an open world MMO game that has been described to be Part-Days Gone, Part-World War Z, with Animal Crossing-inspired social elements. Didn't expect those three games to be spoken in a single sentence, huh? In any case, The Day Before is set in a post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for resources. The game's graphics look really good in trailers so far, especially with Nvidia RTX on. Hopefully the game could still look even better with its transition to Unreal Engine 5.
