The festivities of this year's All-Star Weekend did not just occur on the court, but also in the different venues near Staples Center. One of them hosted a concert on Saturday night where The Killers played in and brought a lot of fun and entertainment to the fans who watched them perform live.

In between songs, their lead vocalist Brandon Flowers gave a special shoutout to Charles Barkley. He recalled the hilarious moment when he cleaned his golf clubs 16 years ago in Las Vegas, Nevada, but only received a $5 tip from the Basketball Hall of Famer. It made the crowd laugh and Barkley shaking his head at the back, even denying it, as he could not believe he was called out for it.

Despite Barkley's apparent cheapness, Flowers did not make a hot fuss about it and even said he was “happier about that”, smiling like he truly meant what he was saying.

Charles Barkley has been known to be involved in some funny situations in the past, which made him get roasted again by his co-hosts from Inside the NBA.

Sir Charles even tried to convince them that he gave $20 and that Flowers was just trying to be funny, but Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O'Neal were all not buying it.

This is certainly one of the more hilarious stories about Barkley and shows that even celebrities with his stature can also be cheap at times if it is indeed true. However, if there's anything good that came out of it, Flowers turned out to be the successful musician that he is now, and was inspired by the words Barkley gave him back in 2002 — two years before The Killer released their highly acclaimed debut album, Hot Fuss.
