Steve Kerr is keenly aware that his moment may come. “The Last Dance” docuseries has revisited many Michael Jordan tales during its first six episodes, making it a matter of time before his fight with Michael Jordan is aired for the eyes of the masses.

Via Drew Shiller of NBC Sports Bay Area:

“I'm a little self-conscious,” he told Wes Goldberg of The Mercury News on the Locked On Warriors pod. “I've got mixed emotions about the story being told again.

“It's not exactly something I'm proud of. And it's weird — especially with no sports on — knowing that everybody in the sports world is watching this documentary.

“It's a strange feeling.”

Episodes 7 and 8 of “The Last Dance” will highlight the fight that took place in practice between Jordan and Kerr in 1995.

A sneak peak of the episode has Jordan detailing how it all unraveled:

“He hauls off and hits me in the chest, and I just haul off and hit him right in the f**king eye. And Phil (Jackson) just throws me out of practice.”

Jordan was known to be massively competitive and at times an antagonizer of his own teammates, hoping to get the fire within them.

This time around it only resulted in getting thrown out of practice and giving a 6-foot-2 Kerr a black eye.

Kerr might not want to see this episode of “The Last Dance” see the light, but many viewers at home, including his own Warriors players, will patiently wait for the time Jordan confronts him and lands that punch right in the moneymaker.
