Few franchises amass a massive army of loyal fans quite like the Halo series. Additionally, when a multitude of fans congregate around any piece of work, demands for film and television adaptations follow closely behind. Halo is no exception to that as fans have clamored for an adaptation of Master Chief's adventures. Halo's long grueling journey towards its own TV show went through up and downs but the end is finally in sight. The Halo TV premieres on Paramount+ sometime in 2022.

TV: THE NEXT MISSION

CBS Chief Creative Officer & Showtime Networks CEO David Nevins spoke excitedly about his experience seeing footage from the anticipated show.

“It delivers the visceral excitement of playing the game, along with a much deeper emotional experience around the Spartans, human beings who got their humanity chemically and genetically altered. The story is about reclaiming what makes them human, and therefore it’s a very powerful story.”

Supposedly, production on the show reached about 60% before it took a devastating blow due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless, the show's development soldiered on. Nevins spoke briefly about his companies' incessant search for a brand new exciting TV show.

“We were on the hunt for signature shows beyond the Star Trek franchise on CBS All Access and were thinking, what could be a defining series for Paramount+. Halo always fit the bill, but seeing it, we felt it would work.”
