30. Patrick Peterson

Since coming into the NFL in 2011, Patrick Peterson has been the definition of true shut-down cornerback. In a league where teams are throwing the ball more than ever, Peterson is still shutting guys down with the Arizona Cardinals.

Last season, Peterson allowed just 0.63 yards per coverage snap in 2018. That ranked fourth among all cornerbacks in the NFL.

29. Michael Thomas

The New Orleans Saints boasted one of the best offenses in the NFL in 2018. One of the main reasons for that was the play that came from Michael Thomas.

Thomas had a season to remember in 2018, catching 85% of his targets with 125 receptions for 1,405 yards and nine touchdowns in 2018.

28. Davante Adams

One of the most forgotten wide receivers in the NFL is Davante Adams of the Green Bay Packers. Despite that, Adams just continues to get better and is on the verge of being a top-five receiver.

Last season, Adams had his best season in the NFL with 111 receptions, 1,386 yards, and 13 touchdowns. All of those numbers were in the top-five among receivers besides receiving yards.

27. Alvin Kamara

The other weapon on the Saints offense that helps Drew Brees tremendously is Alvin Kamara. Kamara could have his most productive season so far with Mark Ingram leaving New Orleans.

In two seasons, Kamara has averaged 5.1 yards per carry, caught 162 passes, and has scored 31 total touchdowns. Kamara is one of the most electric players in the NFL every time he touches the ball.

26. Le'Veon Bell

The return of Le'Veon Bell in 2019 is highly anticipated after the All-Pro running back sat out the entire 2018 season. Now, Bell will suit up for the New York Jets and is hoping to return to his once-dominant form.

Despite missing a season, Bell is the epitome of a dual-threat back, having three seasons since 2013 with over 1,800 yards from scrimmage.

25. Akiem Hicks

When it comes to interior defenders, none might be as menacing as Akiem Hicks of the Chicago Bears. Hicks stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs nearly 330 pounds while having the ability to rush the passer.

Since joining the Bears in 2016, Hicks has totaled 23 sacks, 38 tackles for loss, five forced fumbles, and has 53 hits on the quarterback.

24. Kevin Byard

Kevin Byard was once called a “fan” by Deion Sanders but Byard can play better than any fan I know. In the past two seasons, Byard has become one of the league's best free safeties for the Tennessee Titans.

The All-Pro safety joined the Titans in 2016, but in 2017-2018, Byard has tallied 12 interceptions, 24 deflections, and 177 total tackles.

23. Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr., Browns

All eyes will be on Odell Beckham Jr. in 2019 as he steps foot on the field for the first time with the Cleveland Browns. Having Baker Mayfield throwing him the ball could allow him to take his game to another level.

Even in a down season for the New York Giants last season, Beckham Jr. caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns. We're going to see Beckham Jr. have a career-year in Cleveland this year.

22. Derwin James

In today's NFL, teams are looking for safeties who are versatile enough to play anywhere on the field. One of the players who is capable of doing that is Derwin James of the Los Angeles Chargers.

In his rookie season in 2018, James was named PFF's Defensive Rookie of the Year and he had 19 pressures on the quarterback. His 19 pressures are the most by a rookie safety in the PFF era (2006-present).

21. Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey had the worst season of his career in 2018 but he is still arguably the best cornerback in the NFL—don't get it twisted. If the Jacksonville Jaguars don't pay him, someone else will.

In three seasons with the Jaguars, Ramsey has nine interceptions, 44 deflections, and 193 total tackles.

Ramsey will return to his elite form again in 2019.
