The Chicago Bulls finally overhauled their front office and put fans spam tweeting #FireGarPax to rest. In another move that relieved fans, Jim Boylen was fired, and now the Bulls need a new head coach.

According to Locked On Bulls host Matt Peck, as long as the Bulls actually do a coaching search, Bulls fans will accept whoever they hire. That is, unless it’s one of two names: Ty Lue or Mark Jackson, and in particular Jackson.

Matt Peck: Basically, as long as the Bulls do a thorough coaching search and come to a decision, I will be happy, if they actually do a coaching search. Because this fan base was fed Fred Hoiberg and Jim Boylen back-to-back with no coaching searches whatsoever either time.

So putting my faith in [Arturas Karnisovas] to do their jobs and do them well, I feel good about them and the names that we’re hearing they’re going to bring in.

I would only add that there are a couple of names that I am very glad are not on the Bulls list according to all sources, those being Ty Lue and Mark Jackson.

Chris Manning: Alright, that’s it, Ty Lue is a good coach. We’re logging off. Ty Lue is a great coach.

Matt: I’m sure all you wonderful people of Cleveland think Ty Lue is a great coach. No, I’m sorry, no. If you were to tell me my choices, as a Bulls fan, were Ty Lue or Mark Jackson, I’m picking Ty Lue 100 times out of 100 and I’m throwing him a parade through the streets of Chicago.

It’s crazy how many NBA people out there say ‘why does Mark Jackson still not have a job?’ Uhh… evidence?! Hello?

The start of next season is still unknown, and as of right now five franchises are searching for new head coaches (Nets, Bulls, Pacers, Pelicans, and 76ers). With jobs like Brooklyn, Philadelphia, and New Orleans available, the Bulls may not even get their first choice.
