Even with small ball being the trend in the league these days, Hall of Famer Chris Mullin agreed that the Golden State Warriors still need a legitimate 7-footer to revive their once invincible dynasty.

The Dubs legend actually name-dropped a player he wishes Golden State will sign in free agency. Per Mullin, the Warriors' best bet is to pick-up their former Finals adversary, Marc Gasol.

“I think ideally, you'd like a seasoned veteran,” Mullin said, via Ali Thanawalla of NBC Sports. “Even if he played limited minutes during the regular season and you got him ready towards the last 30 games or so, I don't know, Marc Gasol or someone like that, that you really could depend on in the playoffs.”

The 5-time All-Star cited the likes of former Warriors bigs like JaVale McGee and Andrew Bogut, who served as role players but played a big factor in their recent title runs.

“Again, the Warriors have had tremendous success using that center position by committee and not necessarily being the main focus, but being a very important piece,” Mullin said.

The Warriors are expected to hunt for bigs this offseason, to bolster a roster that only has Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, and Marquese Chriss upfront. They have several options to choose from in the coming weeks, may it be from the 2020 Draft, the free agency, or via trade.

Mullin, meanwhile, is spot on with his pick for Gasol, as the Spaniard is actually on the Dubs' radar along with his Toronto Raptors teammate Serge Ibaka. Gasol's terrific passing ability and defensive acumen would be perfect for head coach Steve Kerr's system. Plus, the 7-foot slotman has also improved his 3-point stroke over the years, making him even more enticing for the Warriors.

Initial reports claimed that Gasol will be leaving the NBA to play close to home in the Euro League, but the one-time NBA champion's camp has since denied those claims. If the Dubs play their cards right, they might have both Gasol and a promising young center from the draft for the 2020-21 campaign.
