This year's 2021 NBA draft class is loaded with lots of superstar potential. Only time will tell, but this could be the best draft class since 2003. That class featured some names you might remember, like Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and current Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. Four future Hall of Famers.

Now let's get back to this year's draft class and who will win summer league MVP. There are four guys who I think have a legit shot at taking the summer award. The number one pick in the draft Detroit Pistons Cade Cunningham, the prospect who some believe will be the best scorer in the class Houston Rockets Jalen Green, and the boys who play for the Golden State Warriors Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

Cade Cunningham, the 6'8 point guard, is considered the best rookie in this class. He's expected to do big things early for the Detroit Pistons. Not only does he have the tools to be a do-it-all player, but the Pistons will hand him the keys to the team right away. Which is the reason he is my frontrunner to win Rookie of the Year. He will control the game and get to do whatever he wants during the season, but I don't have him winning summer league MVP.

Next, we have the kid from Fresno, Ca, Jalen Green, who was the second pick in the NBA draft. Green, who is nicknamed the unicorn, might have the most confidence in the entire draft class. If you saw the suit he wore draft night, you know what I mean. He has the potential to be a household name, and he believes he's the best player in the class. The mindset will gain him many accolades, but the summer league MVP won't be one of them.

That leaves me with the Golden State Warriors teenagers.

The youngest player in the crew, Jonathan Kuminga, is an absolute freak. He's only 18 years old and already has a grown man body. He's expected to do good numbers in the summer league with his G-League experience. He's already adjusted to the pace of the game, which gives him a slight edge over some. He could steal the summer crown but is that his goal.

Lastly, we have Moses Moody, who has the best chance of taking home the summer league MVP. Not only can he play, but he's also going to have Kuminga on the court at the same time. Two lottery picks on one team should mean two studs tearing up the summer league. Having a running mate is going to help Moody focus on himself and making sure he keeps pace with Kuminga. Then I think his shooting ability will be the difference, and he will win the summer league MVP.

The NBA summer league in Las Vegas begins on August 8th. All the top rookies, Moody and Kuminga included, will be there and ready to play. Will this prediction be accurate? Or is it just a wild take. We will find out soon.
