Now, with season 2 down, we're sure you're wondering when The Witcher Season 3 release date will be, especially thanks to the banger ending of Season 2. So, when is The Witcher Season 3 Release Date going to be?
The Witcher Season 3 Release Date: ETA December 2022
Details on the third season of the show are still sparse, but rumors say that the next season won't be coming until December 2022. Given that The Witcher‘s first season also premiered in December, with the second season releasing again in December, it's a safe bet to place season 3's release date also on December.
According to showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, scriptwriting for Season 3 has already been finished. Principal photography, though, has not yet started.
No worries, though. The series' leading man Henry Cavill has gone on record saying that he'd gladly do seven seasons with Netflix for The Witcher – which is exactly how long the entire show will run its course. Of course, there will also be a couple of spin-offs we can anticipate, especially the new Blood Origin starring Michelle Yeoh.
