Before he was drafted in the NBA, Thon Maker already created a lot of chatter because of two things: how old he really is and his incredible athleticism.

During the Milwaukee Bucks‘ preseason game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night, the 7-foot-1 rookie showed everyone how athletic he truly is.

After losing his defender with a back-door cut, he jumped to catch the alley-oop pass. Though the pass was a bit shorter than the ideal height, Maker was still able to grab and slam it home.

Plays like this can help him prove his case as a worthy selection for the 10th pick in this year's draft.

Adding Maker to the list of players the Bucks have with extremely wide wing spans – like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker and John Henson – the team will be one of the most exciting to watch this year. Highlight plays such as this can be expected from them throughout the course of the season.
