The NBA season has been postponed indefinitely, with many believing the season will likely be canceled. At this point, the Detroit Pistons would've had 16 games left to play. The only thing hurting Pistons fans about the postponement of the season is the fact Detroit won't be able to fall any further in the standings, therefore raising their draft selection.

Before the arrival of the coronavirus and its effects on the sports world, the Pistons weren't having the most exciting season anyways. Blake Griffin only played in 18 games, games in which Griffin looked like he was playing on one leg. He would eventually get season-ending surgery and clouding his future in Detroit. The face of 2010's Pistons basketball, Andre Drummond, was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for minimal value and his running mate in Reggie Jackson was waived shortly after.

It's been a tough season for Pistons fans, but there have been a few performances this season that Detroiters were proud of being a Pistons fan.

Here are three Detroit Pistons performances that brought joy to an otherwise dark and depressing season.

Derrick Rose Game Winner vs New Orleans Pelicans

The Pistons signed Derrick Rose in the offseason to take some of the load Griffin carried last season off of his shoulders. Due to Griffin's injuries, Rose ended up taking all of the load off his shoulders. This game showed exactly why Detroit signed Rose and the value he brings to a team down the stretch of a game.

In this game, the Pistons fell behind by 11 points to the Pelicans and dealt with a reoccurring horrific night from Griffin; who shot 1-9 from the floor. Through three quarters, Rose himself only had four points in this game. However, Rose looked like a former MVP in the fourth quarter; with the majority of his damage being against an elite defender in Jrue Holiday.

Rose would go on to score 17 points in the fourth quarter, picking the Pelicans defense apart. Last year, the Pistons relied completely on Griffin at the end of game situations. This game, just like the majority of the season, the Pistons relied completely on the Chicago-born star.

With 14.7 seconds left, Griffin inbounded the ball to Rose and the rest of the team cleared out so the guard had optimal space to go one-on-one against Holiday. After rocking the dribble down to 4.9 seconds, Rose made his move tp the rim. After getting to the free-throw line, Rose stopped on the dime and completely lost Holiday with a spin-move to the right. Rose took the wide open fadeaway jumper and drained it with .3 seconds remaining.

Sekou Doumobouya 24 points against Boston

The Pistons' first-round draft pick was not supposed to see the floor much this season. However, due to injuries and losses, it was time to start playing the youngest player in the league.

Sekou Doumbouya produced 24-point outing against the Boston Celtics.

This was only Doumbouya's eighth start as an NBA player, but he looked like a seasoned vet. Doumbouya would go on to drop 24 points on 10-13 shooting from the field, becoming the second-youngest player to score 24 points on a field goal percentage of 75 percent or better. The youngest?

The late great Kobe Bryant in 1997.

For a fan base that was excited as soon as the Pistons drafted Doumbouya at 15, seeing him play well during his first eight starts was thrilling. This game against the Celtics, however, was the icing on the cake.

Christian Wood's final five games of the season

I know this is supposed to be single-game performances, but Christian Wood forces me to make an exception.

Before the season, Wood was fighting Joe Johnson for the final spot on the Pistons roster. After earning the 15th spot through stellar play in the preseason, Wood immediately became a fan favorite.

Wood shaped the Pistons' decision to move on from Drummond at the trade deadline. While the front office wanted to move into a new direction, Wood's play made the decision to trade Drummond easier. Wood gained the starting center spot shortly after, and seized the opportunity given to him.

In what will likely turn out to be the Pistons final five games of the 2019-2020 season, Wood set his career-high in points THREE different times! First scoring 29 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 4th, then 30 points against the Utah Jazz on March 7th, and lastly 32 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on March 11.
