After a forgettable 2017-18 season marred by injuries, Oklahoma City Thunder guard/forward Andre Roberson is looking to bounce back this year. The 26-year-old has declared that he is targeting a return to the court towards the holiday season.

Roberson declared his intentions on a recent interview on San Antonio-based network KABB Fox-29, per Brett Dawson of NewsOK.

“I’m not really putting a particular timeline on it, but I want to come back to myself somewhere in, like, December,” Roberson told the station. “It would be great if it happened before Christmas. That’d be great, but like I said, not putting a timeline on it, just taking it a day at a time.”

This is definitely great news for the Thunder who sorely missed out on the defensive prowess of their starting small forward for the latter part of the regular season as well as the entirety of their short-lived Playoffs run.

A revamped Thunder side will look to have a much better outing this coming season. They have been quite busy in the summer with their offseason dealings, which is highlighted by their success in securing Paul George into a four-year extension.

The Thunder have also parted ways with Carmelo Anthony, which entailed the arrival of sixth-year guard Dennis Schroder. It appears that head coach Billy Donovan intends to hand the starting point guard role to the German, sending Russell Westbrook to the two spot.

Once he is up to speed, Roberson should re-take the starting SF slot, thereby moving George to the four. Steven Adams will remain as the team's big man in the middle.
