Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Andre Roberson will miss the team’s next three games due to left knee tendinitis.

Per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman:

Billy Donovan said Andre Roberson (left knee tendinitis) will miss the Thunder’s next three road games (at Lakers, Clippers, Suns)

Roberson missed the Thunder’s most recent game against the Dallas Mavericks, which Oklahoma City lost at home, 116-113.

Roberson averages a mere 5.0 points per game, but he remains an invaluable part of the Thunder team due to the terrific defense he brings to the table. The Thunder have lost two of the three games Roberson has missed this season and gave up 116 points on both occasions.

But even without Roberson, the Thunder should still be favored to win at least two of those three road games, particularly against the struggling Lakers and the Suns.

Josh Huestis got the start in Roberson’s absence against the Mavs, although it remains to be seen whether head coach Billy Donovan will stick with him after he went scoreless with one rebound in 19 minutes of action.

Alex Abrines, who started the other two games Roberson missed this season, is another option to start for Donovan. Meanwhile, rookie Terrance Ferguson should see extended minutes off the Thunder bench over the next three games.
