The Oklahoma City Thunder are in dire straits. The Thunder are fighting for their playoff lives after falling down to the Portland Trail Blazers 3-1 in the their first round Western Conference Playoff series.

After winning Game 3 on the strength of some solid performances from Paul George and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder’s two big stars were extremely reticent to talk about the goings-on in the game, repeatedly saying “next question” to reporters who were asking them questions.

One of the reporters, who Westbrook in particular has no interest in dealing with, is Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman. Westbrook has had a longstanding feud with Tramel dating back to 2017, though his stance on Tramel has softened a bit of late.

In a recent interview with Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, Tramel details the genesis of the beef between him and Westbrook.

Clearly, Berry Tramel got a bit tired of Russell Westbrook’s schtick regarding his dealings with the media and he opted to get a little fresh with Russ after a game.

For a while, many thought that Russ was just being difficult, but at least Tramel has explained exactly what led to their adversarial relationship.
