Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum thinks Russell Westbrook and Paul George “stay together” on the Oklahoma City Thunder if OKC makes the 2019 Western Conference Finals instead of the Blazers.

Portland defeated the Thunder in five games in the first-round of the playoffs. George requested a trade to the Los Angeles Clippers so he could team up with Kawhi Leonard.

After OKC traded George, the Thunder traded Westbrook to the Houston Rockets.

“You look at the Oklahoma City Thunder. What happens if they beat us? What happens if they get to the Western Conference Finals? Russ and PG probably stay together, Kawhi (Leonard) probably stays in Toronto,” McCollum told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on the Woj Pod, via Casey Holdahl of Blazers.com. “It’s like a domino effect, a lot of things happen to where you never know. You never know what could happen, honestly.”

The Thunder completely reshaped their roster after losing to the Blazers. Portland, meanwhile, signed Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to contract extensions.

The Blazers did make some transactions this summer. They acquired Hassan Whiteside from the Miami Heat, Kent Bazemore from the Atlanta Hawks and signed Pau Gasol in free agency.

The Thunder's roster is now headlined by Chris Paul, Steven Adams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari and Andre Roberson.
