A meme has been making rounds on social media, stating that Kyle Korver of the Cleveland Cavaliers is better than Carmelo Anthony of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The meme reached Anthony and he wasn't too happy about it.

As posted by Hoops Central, below is a screen cap of Anthony, explicitly disagreeing with the meme:

Anthony had all the reasons to disagree with the post's claims. He's known as one of the best scorers in the game — an elite offensive talent equipped with an arsenal of moves. He may have slowed down a bit last season. He averaged just 16.2 points per game, way below his career average of 24.1 points a night.

The post might be alluding to Anthony's postseason performance in comparison to Korver. Anthony and the Thunder were eliminated in the first round. In six games, he chipped in just 11.8 points per night in 32.2 minutes. His presence wasn't felt at all.

Korver, meanwhile, is still alive and well in the playoffs. They are battling the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference where he's been a key factor on both ends of the floor. And even at 37-years, he's willing to sacrifice his body to get the loose ball. He's logging in 10.7 points in 25.1 minutes of play in the postseason.

So is Korver really better? From an individual perspective, Anthony wins by miles. But from a team perspective, Korver is much closer to a championship ring that Anthony.
