If Oklahoma City Thunder forward Carmelo Anthony knows a little bit about Napoleon Bonaparte, then he could call Phoenix his Waterloo. Unlike Napoleon, though, Anthony has lost more than just once in the desert. In fact, Melo has lost in 14 of his last 15 trips to Phoenix, according to Dave King of SBNation.

The last time the Thunder star team won in Phoenix was on Feb. 8, 2016, when Anthony scored 23 points and teamed up with the legendary Sasha Vujacic help the Knicks take down the Suns on the road, 128-97. As what Baker’s trivia suggests, that would be Carmelo Anthony's one and only win in Phoenix in his last 15 visits there, which includes Sunday’s letdown — a 114-100 road loss by the Thunder to the Suns.

Even on a different team, Anthony’s troubles in Phoenix just seem to continue. In that game, Anthony scored 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field to go with four rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal in 32 minutes of action.

The Thunder, however, have had tough luck playing in Phoenix long before Carmelo Anthony was traded to Oklahoma City from New York back in September for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a pick. In fact, the Thunder are just 2-6 in their last eight games in Phoenix. Over their last 20 there, they are just 8-12 dating back to 2007.

Anthony, who is averaging 17.7 points per game this season, will have another crack at winning a game in Phoenix when the Thunder pay the Suns another visit on Mar. 2.
