Boston Celtics small forward Marcus Morris wishes his twin brother Markieff Morris didn't sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After the Washington Wizards traded Markieff to the New Orleans Pelicans, the swingman was waived by New Orleans and signed with the Thunder for the rest of the season.

In the Thunder's first round loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Markieff averaged just 11.8 minutes per game.

Marcus says the Thunder didn't utilize his brother properly and that OKC head coach Billy Donovan got outcoached the entire series.

“I just wish he never went there,” Marcus said, via Jay King of The Athletic. “Because I know he could have helped another team get somewhere just by the effect he has on the court.

“Early on they played him. And I just felt like, I don’t know what it was, but coaches get stuck on playing one way. I felt like in the playoffs you need your bench to be able to come in and contribute, and I felt like they never really got the opportunity to do that. Playing four minutes last night was a slap in the face. I felt like my brother would have at least been able to muck it up, bring some type of attitude – because they had none of that – or something to the game. It is what it is. I’m not bashing them. I just felt like they didn’t utilize their other guys enough.”

The Thunder lost to the Blazers in five games. Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard scored 50 points in Game 5 and hit the game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer over Thunder forward Paul George.

Markieff put up 3.8 points in the series. He becomes a free agent this summer and will probably explore his options.
