Chris Paul has heard his name mentioned among the popular trade candidates this offseason. While he is uncertain about his future with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Paul admitted there is still a lot to be determined when it comes to the 2020-21 season.

“There’s still a lot of questions that have to be answered,” Paul said, per Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press. “But we’re working on it. Nothing is perfect and everything that you see … we’re sort of learning everything on the fly. The only thing that’s in control right now is that virus.”

Chris Paul is the NBPA president, a role he's held since 2013, and is involved in configuring the best solution to conducting the upcoming season. Of course, the Thunder veteran point guard was vital in the NBA being able to put together the bubble in Orlando, Florida after resuming the season in July due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similar to other sports, the NBA is attempting to come up with ways to hold games safely for its 2020-21 campaign. At the same time, the league would love to discover a way for fans to attend games, even if it's in a limited fashion.

Ahead of the 2020-2021 season, Paul's future with the Thunder is in jeopardy. In his lone season with OKC, he helped the team overachieve, enticing teams to become interested in the 35-year-old point guard.

The NBA plans on beginning the upcoming season on December 22, allowing them to fit in the Christmas games on the schedule. Even though the league has proven they can conduct a season amid COVID-19, the virus can still present them with some concerns.
