Chris Paul is embarking on the next chapter of his NBA career in 2019-20 with the Oklahoma City Thunder after the Houston Rockets traded him for Russell Westbrook this summer.

While Paul is 34-years-old and on the back-end of his career, CP3 says he's feeling really good after turning to a plant-based diet recently:

Chris Paul has a history of suffering hamstring injuries. The Thunder are hoping Paul stays healthy next season so they can shock the world and make the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference.

Last season with the Rockets, Paul averaged 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists in 58 games. The nine-time All-Star shot 41.9 percent from the field, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 86.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The Thunder are widely expected to start Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Terrance Ferguson, Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams next season. It's going to be tough for OKC to make the postseason now that Westbrook and Paul George are gone, but don't expect a team led by Paul to just fold over.

Paul has three years left on his monster contract with the Thunder. He’ll make $38.5 million next season, $41.4 million in 2020-21 and has a player option worth $44.2 million for the 2021-22 season.

Paul and the Thunder likely won’t agree to a buyout if OKC struggles next season, as Paul would have to give up a lot of money for that to happen.

The Thunder could always look to trade Paul if things don't work out.
