When Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Chris Paul left Oklahoma to go home to be with his family, the All-Star initially couldn't go inside the house and see his kids.

That's because Paul was still waiting for his coronavirus test result. The Thunder star talked about his experience with COVID-19 on the latest episode of All The Smoke with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson:

“When I left Oklahoma to come [home], I hadn’t gotten my [COVID-19 test] results back. So I got back to my house, I hadn’t seen my kids since All-Star Weekend. Couldn’t go in the house, though,” Chris Paul said.

“I sat in the driveway for three hours because I hadn’t gotten my test back. I could see my kids, but I couldn’t go touch them…That was tough in itself.”

Paul eventually got his results back and they were fortunately negative.

CP3, who is in his first season with the Thunder after playing for the Houston Rockets the past two seasons, was averaging 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 6.8 assists for OKC prior to the NBA suspending play.

The Thunder actually had the same record as the Rockets, who traded Paul to OKC for former MVP Russell Westbrook last summer.

If the 2019-20 season resumes, Paul and the Thunder will be in fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
