Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dennis Schroder has had a busy offseason so far. After parting ways with the Atlanta Hawks as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal, the new OKC recruit just represented his home nation of Germany in tremendous fashion.

Germany were up against Turkey in the Supercup semifinals and Schorder led the lines for the Germans. However, his 32-point outburst was not enough to lead his team past a very determined Turkey side. Schroder dished out 14 dimes on the evening, and even dropped four three-pointers for good measure.

If these are signs of things to come for the 24-year-old, then the Thunder faithful surely have something to get excited about. Schroder heads to Oklahoma following a career-best season averaging 19.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 2.7 turnovers for the Hawks last term.

Despite the impressive numbers, Atlanta still opted to part ways with Schroder. In the wake of Jeff Teague's departure, Schroder was given the chance to establish himself as the team's point guard of the future. Things did not exactly work out for Schroder and the Hawks, and when the opportunity came, the team decided to offload the German and the $46.5 million owed to him over the next three seasons.

Now with the Thunder, Schroder is projected to be the team's new starting point guard. With Russell Westbrook sliding to the two spot, OKC suddenly have one of the most dynamic backcourts in the league. It is a high-risk, high-reward type of deal for the Thunder which hopefully pays dividends sooner rather than later.
