When Kevin Durant bolted from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Golden State Warriors there was a lot of shock around the league. On the Thunder, there were a lot of players who were hurt by the move not just because Durant was leaving, but because they felt blindsided by the move. Enes Kanter made an appearance on the Aaron Torres Sports Podcast and said the reason he was so hurt by the move was that he found out on Twitter

I found out on Twitter. That was the part that really hurt not only me, but us. We were really close. We had been through a lot together. Not many people know this, but I texted him. I said ‘Good luck. This is a business. Good luck.’ He answered me too. He said ‘I’ve got nothing against you, we’re good,’ and he responded. He said ‘We’re always going to be cool.’ And then I see the whole organization, the fans, everybody was down. And I was like ‘this is crazy.’

Even though Kanter found out on Twitter he took the news a little better than some of his teammates like Russell Westbrook who made the feud between the two guys very public.

Enes Kanter has now moved onto the New York Knicks and Kevin Durant is still playing with the Warriors but it's still clear that Kanter still thinks about Durant leaving the Thunder.

It's also surprising that even though the two are close friends Durant didn't send him a text before the news got out so he at least had a warning.
