Kendrick Perkins is coming to the defense of Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook after Kevin Durant's brand ambassador said no one wants to play with the explosive point guard.

After Paul George requested a trade from the Thunder to play with Kawhi Leonard on the Los Angeles Clippers, Durant's brand ambassador — Randy Williams — went on Instagram and said, “Russ is all about Russ. He's more worried about stats vs. playing winning basketball. No one wants to play with him!”

Perkins didn't like those comments from Williams and says Durant needs to talk with Williams:

When Durant left the Thunder in the summer of 2016 to sign with the Golden State Warriors, it was assumed KD left OKC because he didn't like playing with Westbrook anymore. Durant and Westbrook weren't on good terms for over a year after that. It was actually Perkins who got the two MVPs back on speaking terms.

Is Westbrook an amazing player? Absolutely. You don't average a triple-double three seasons in a row without being a once-in-a-generation player. However, Westbrook is difficult to play with, especially if you're a scorer like Durant and George. Russ plays out of control often and takes a lot of bad shots in crunch time.

That doesn't necessarily mean no one wants to play with Russell Westbrook and that he's a bad teammate. Everyone who has played for the Thunder always speaks volumes about how great of a teammate and guy Westbrook is.
