New Orleans Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball was the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. His brother LaMelo might son join him as a top pick in this summer's draft.

But the middle brother, LiAngelo, is still in search of a basketball career. LiAngelo went undrafted during the 2018 NBA Draft, and his future seemed in doubt.

However, Ball has joined the Oklahoma City Blue–the G League affiliate of the Thunder–as a practice player, according to Joe Mussato of The Oklahoman:

LiAngelo Ball, the middle brother of Lonzo and LaMelo Ball, has joined the Oklahoma City Blue as a practice player, a Thunder spokesman confirmed to The Oklahoman on Sunday.

LiAngelo Ball was seen at a Blue game Sunday afternoon in Oklahoma City. He joined the team as a practice player shortly after the G League Showcase earlier this month.

It's routine for G League teams to bring in practice players. LiAngelo Ball is not officially a member of the Blue.

LiAngelo attended UCLA as a heralded high school prospect, but he dropped out after admitting to shoplifting from a store in Hangzhou, China.

Ball then signed with an agent and played for Vytautas Prienu in Lithuania. He averaged just over 12 points per game in 14 appearances prior to entering the 2018 NBA Draft.

This would seem to be LiAngelo's first step towards getting back into the NBA. Although he is not on the Blue's roster, there is a chance that he can earn a roster spot moving forward.

Whether or not LiAngelo can do enough to impress is another question entirely, but he has an opportunity to showcase his abilities all the same.
