LiAngelo Ball will sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder's G League team, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ball had previously signed with the “Blue” as a practice player:

LiAngelo is the younger brother of New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft and didn’t play a single regular season game at UCLA, though he did play in the preseason.

LiAngelo's problems at UCLA started with a trip to China with the team during which he and three teammates were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting. UCLA responded to the incident by suspending LiAngelo and the two other players who were arrested on an indefinite basis.

LaVar Ball once said LiAngelo, Lonzo and LaMelo would all be on the same NBA team one day. LaMelo is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2020 NBA Draft, while Lonzo is thriving in his new home with the Pelicans.

It would be a cool story to see LiAngelo get a chance in the NBA after everything that happened to him at UCLA.

This year's Thunder squad is 39-24 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
