There's a lot of uncertainty surrounding the Oklahoma City Thunder after an action-packed summer saw them blowing up their team and starting from scratch. However, Nerlens Noel and Hamidou Diallo tried to calm fans' nerves by switching it up and serving as baristas for a day.

The two, alongside rookie Luguentz Dort, showed up in the city and were doing their best to learn coffee-making and serve up members of their community.

Thunder Wire's Dorian Craft revealed that this was part of the Thunder Cares community outreach project that has been going on in the offseason. They also revealed that this isn't the only time OKC players have reached out to the community:

The Thunder have been out and about throughout Oklahoma City in the weeks leading up to the season. Last week, Terrance Ferguson and Justin Patton helped put the finishing touches on a home through She Builds, a campaign that helps with home repairs for women in need.

The initiative is a good way for the team to remind the fans that the Thunder is still worth cheering for despite losing Russell Westbrook in their rebuilding bid. It's a masterstroke that allows the community to connect with the players and make them compelled to show up to Thunder games throughout the season.

However, it's not like the Thunder are doomed to have a horrible season immediately. They have four players included in ESPN's Top 100 list, a proof of the quality they have at their roster. Chris Paul is still a top point guard; Steven Adams is still one of the best bigs in the league; Danilo Gallinari is a talented forward; Shai Gilgeous-Alexander promises to be the point guard of the future.

The Thunder will make a run for the playoffs this season, and the team hopes the community will be there to back them up.
