Many jumped to the conclusion right when the Oklahoma City Thunder got bounced from the first round that Paul George was gone.

George will be a free agent this summer and even before he came to OKC last summer he was rumored to be interested in the Los Angeles Lakers.

Now apparently there is an increased feeling that the Thunder have a better chance to retain George.

Marc Stein of The New York Times believes that George's willingness to post the Instagram image below is a sign that “helped fuel the notion” that he may want to remain on the Thunder next season.

That's an interesting take if true and Thunder fans surely hope it is.

The Rockets are also rumored to be in the hunt for George as he is a heavily coveted free agent. But remaining in OKC with Russell Westbrook keeps the Thunder more relevant and in position to potentially make some noise in the postseason.
