Following their controversial defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, it's not hard to imagine that the players of the Oklahoma City Thunder are not the biggest fans of the officiating crew on the night.

Some of them couldn't hide their frustrations, including Patrick Patterson, who took to his Twitter account to blast the referees for how they have been doing their jobs this season. He also called for possible consequences to be handed over to them for the “downright awfulness” they've done so far.

That resulted to the NBA sanctioning him as the league office took exception to Patterson's post and slapped a hefty $10,000 fine on the Thunder's veteran forward. Once again, the league has proven that they will back up their referees and will not allow players and coaches to criticize them publicly especially on social media.

It can be recalled that the Thunder's six-game winning streak was snapped on Friday behind Giannis Antetokounmpo's game-winning slam. However, the replay showed that he clearly stepped on the baseline, which the referees missed. Despite complains from the players and fans, the play was not able to be reviewed since there was no call made.
