The Oklahoma City Thunder emerged as one of the teams expected to pursue Dwyane Wade once his buyout is made official, entering the running for his services along with frontrunner Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Having signed Paul George early in the offseason and Carmelo Anthony two days ago, the Thunder are making an even bigger push for Western Conference dominance by aiming to sign the 36-year-old as a dark horse candidate for his services.

George urged to have him join the team without any hesitation.

“That's between Sam (Presti) and D-Wade… It'd be great, it's be great to get D-Wade… It'd be great to get D-Wade here,” said George, according to Fred Katz of The Norman Transcript.

“I'm in his phone text, his DMs, Snapchat, whatever it takes to get this dude here,” added George, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports.

His new teammate Anthony wasn't as aware of Wade's situation after packing his bags en route to OKC, but once updated was more than willing to urge him to join the team.

“Where is he? I have no idea to be honest with you, I would love to have him here in Oklahoma City, but am I allowed to say that? Is that tampering?,” Anthony asked when asked about Wade possibly joining the Thunder.

“Oh he’s free now?. C’mon D, you know where you belong, guy.”
