With the success the Oklahoma City Thunder are having so far this regular season, it’s not surprising that Paul George is enjoying himself with the team. Despite this being the first campaign he’s spending with them, he has shown that he can co-exist with Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and the rest of his teammates, which leads to many wondering if that’s enough reason for George to re-sign with the Thunder in the summer once he becomes a free agent.

The five-time All-Star admitted that he is indeed happy to be in Oklahoma City as part of the Thunder. However, George also added, via Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports, that he is still uncertain about his future, including his decision on whether to represent his hometown team, the Los Angeles Lakers, which he’ll have a chance to do so after this season.

George is expected to be one of the biggest names to hit the market come July 1st. That said, he will definitely generate a lot of interest from teams around the league who will all make their best pitches to him to try and land his services.

While it still seems like the Thunder and Lakers have the inside track in securing his signature, there could be another franchise that may emerge as a favorite as well. Although highly unlikely for now, the NBA has seen stranger things happen in the past, and should his next destination be neither of the two aforementioned teams, it certainly has the potential to be a shocker to the basketball world.
